About Cady

Cady was discovered estray. Her owners were located but refused to claim/retriever her so she was placed with Bluebonnet. Cady's foster home found out she was broke to ride and brought her to the Bluebonnet Horse Expo. She didn't get adopted at the Expo, but the foster home's husband fell in love with her while at the Expo and decided to adopt her a few weeks later! The adopter re-homed Cady (following Bluebonnet’s re-homing policy) to a new home in 2019 when her husband wasn’t riding Cady much.

Evaluation and Training

Cady leads and loads well. Her foster home has done ground work with her and said she responded well. She is good to saddle, although a little difficult to bridle (this should improve with work). Her foster home has ridden her at a walk and trot both in an English saddle and in a western saddle. Cady's foster home thinks she's green broke - she needs work on steering at the trot but does well at the walk. She would do well with an intermediate rider who could ride her some more, and she's very quiet under saddle so she could make a nice trail horse.
