About Miss Treasure

Miss Treasure was found estray and placed with Bluebonnet by animal control when her owner was not found. She had not been handled much prior to coming to Bluebonnet, so she went straight to a trainer who worked with her and got her halter broke. She then went to another trainer for the Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge. She won the professional division of the event and was then adopted! Congrats to Chloe S!

Evaluation and Training

Miss Treasure had not been handled much before coming to Bluebonnet. She could be haltered, but she did not know how to lead. Miss Treasure is now good to catch, groom, lead, pick feet/farrier work, rounpen, liberty work, tack and untack, tie, obstacles, bridle, and stands when mounting. As of mid-September 2017, her trainer says she can be great under saddle most of the time, but she sometimes bucks. She is improving with more work, but right now she'll need an experienced rider to continue working with her. Miss Treasure's trainer says that she should be good to be a pleasure horse or trail horse, and if the adopter wishes they can train her in another discipline.
