About Chaser

Chaser was removed from negligent owners and placed with Bluebonnet by animal control. He hadnt been handled when he arrived at Bluebonnet, but thanks to some great foster homes this little guy not only came along - but be blossomed and proved himself a great little horse. He met a young woman while being fostered who fell in love with him, and when he wasn't adopted at the Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge, she decided he was meant to be hers!

Evaluation and Training

Chaser is still a young guy. He spent four months with a novice horsewoman preparing for the Non Pro In Hand division of the 2017 Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge. His handler was unable to show him in the Challenge, but she did a good job giving him basic horsemanship skills. Chaser's 2018 Challenge partner is doing a great job refining his ground work, teaching him to carry a saddle, and getting him ready for someone to start under saddle next year. He has the potential to do almost anything for a lucky adopter!
