BEHS 063 – Woody

Woody was the 63rd horse into Bluebonnet. He arrived on this date (December 21), 2005. He and his pasturemate, Deputy, were both emaciated and were surrendered when law enforcement investigated their owner for neglect. This was in the days we still operated in Arkansas, and that's where Woody was. Poor Woody had had a rough time before he found Bluebonnet. Not only was he emaciated, but he had been badly abused as well. Woody didn't trust people, and from the condition of his body and his mind, I can't really blame him. Someone had been pretty awful to him.He spent time with a few different foster homes and then landed with Toni in 2007. She fostered him for a while but he won her heart. She knew she could give him what he needed - a place to live, to be loved, to be safe, and to not have to work again. And that's exactly what he got.
